Bethlen Communities Retirement Cottages

Complete with a spectacular view of the scenic Laurel Highlands, our one-level, worry-free cottages at Bethlen Communities afford you the opportunity to enjoy retirement to its fullest. Take advantage of wonderful amenities and quality time with family and friends while we take care of the rest. You will enjoy all the comforts of home, while having the peace of mind that only a continuing care retirement community can offer.

Take advantage of the wonderful community of Ligonier, PA, a town rich in heritage and culture. Enjoy a day exploring one of its many museums, explore a walking or hiking trail, and then grab dinner in one of the town’s fabulous dining establishments. If you are looking for an active local community with activities occurring every week, then Ligonier is the town for you!

Bethlen Cottages Retirement Village is designed for individuals and couples, age 65 and over, who desire independent living in a protected environment. Residents pay a monthly occupancy fee which includes complete maintenance of the home and appliances, snow removal and grass cutting, transportation, trash collection, and taxes.

Helpful Services

Bethlen offers a wide range of services to our Independent Living community members. Services and amenities include, but are not limited to:

  • In-home companion care services, skilled nursing, rehabilitation (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy), and other senior services are available for an additional cost if the need arises
  • Maintenance-free living – we are your plumbers, electricians and landscapers
  • Transportation – we can serve as your chauffeur for non-emergency medical appointments
  • Safety – 24-hour emergency pendant
  • Pets Welcome – pets are family, so we invite them to stay!
  • Handicapped accessible – wide doorways and walk-in showers
  • Appliances included
  • Geothermal radiant floor heat and central air conditioning
  • Attached heated garage 
  • Covered porch
